Salary: Dependant on age and experience

Working hours : Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:00 and 07:00 - 14:30 on Friday

AMK Hardware is a leading distributor of door and window hardware to the UPVC and timber industry with operations in both the UK and Ireland. Our composite door division, Entrance Composite Door Solutions is a thriving part of the business and is experiencing significant growth.

An experienced CNC operator is required to work with our existing team at our new unit in Basford Nottingham.

The Trainee CNC Operator / Machinist role:

Reporting directly to the CNC Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring production and quality targets are met.

The basic duties will be setting up and operating a CNC router, maintaining quality and safety standards. Maintaining equipment and supplies and keeping records.

The ideal Trainee CNC Operator / Machinist must show previous performance and skills in the following areas;

* A CNC machine operating background would be necessary to support the ongoing manufacturing development and growth of the business.
* Experience on an SCM router if possible but not essential
* Experience working on a Biesse & with BSolid programme would be advantageous
* Knowledge of programming, Xilog also beneficial but not essential
* Ability to work at own initiative
* Flexible approach to work
* Achievement of quality standards
* Achievement of performance targets
* Ability to follow instructions
* Experience in woodworking
* Excellent attitude and enthusiasm
