SalaryHrgo are seeking a Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk for our Client based in the Dover area. Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries. This role will suit a candidate that has an interest within the transport and Customs Clearance industry. Full training and support will be given for this position.
Duties include:
Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment
Processing Import/Export declarations
Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm
