Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk

Hrgo are seeking a Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk for our Client based in the Dover area. Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries. This role will suit a candidate that has an interest within the transport and Customs Clearance industry. Full training and support will be given for this position.

Duties include:

• Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment

• Processing Import/Export declarations

• Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements

• Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures

Hours

Week 1 = 60 Hours Monday and Tuesday day shift - 12 Hour shifts

Friday, Saturday and Sunday night shift - 12 Hour shifts

Week 2 - 24 Hours Wednesday and Thursday day shift - 12 Hour shift

Week 3 - 60 Hours Monday and Tuesday night shift - 12 Hour shifts

Friday, Saturday and Sunday day shift - 12 Hours

Week 4 - 24 Hours Wednesday and Thursday night shift - 12 Hour shifts
