Trainee Draughtsman/woman

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Drafter to join our team. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your expertise in drafting and design will contribute to the successful completion of various projects. Training will be ongoing, but some CAD knowledge / experience preferred.

Duties:

- Create accurate and detailed technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints using AutoCAD software.

- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications

- Review and analyze project sketches, notes, and other input materials to determine the best approach for creating technical drawings

- Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations

- Make necessary revisions or modifications to existing drawings as required

- Assist in the development of design concepts and solutions

- Provide support during the construction phase by answering questions and providing clarifications on drawings

Requirements:

- Some knowledge / experience of AutoCAD preferred

- Familiarity with graphic design software is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
