Job description

The Role: What you will do?

Are you ready for your next step in therapy?

Are you an experienced mental health professional or social care worker with a recognised professional qualification working in a mental health setting?

If so, our Trainee Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist programme could be the role for you!

This is a postgraduate certificate training and we require a Diploma level qualification in counselling (not necessarily psychodynamic) or a psychology doctorate degree (clinical, counselling, health or forensic) as the minimum entry requirement. Applicants will need to have a current, full BACP, UKCP or HCPC registration as part of their core qualification.

You will be expected to carry a caseload following the initial training days, with supervision to be successful in this role and you will need to enrol and be accepted onto the Anna Freud training programme

https://www.annafreud.org/training/health-and-social-care/dynamic-interpersonal-therapy/dynamic-interpersonal-therapy-dit-20-day-training-programme/

This training will be delivered on Zoom. Each of the training days will be divided into four sessions; generally, each morning and afternoon will include 50% active learning time (mainly by videotaped role-plays).

Some points will be best illustrated through watching a video clip, from which therapeutic techniques can be individually rated by each participant, with the ratings and observations then discussed in a larger group.

Interviews to take place 7th February 2024.

Previous applicants do not need to apply.
