Job description

Position Overview:
As a Trainee Industrial Sewing Machinist, you will undergo training to operate Industrial Sewing machines efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include learning different sewing techniques, understanding product specifications, and contributing to the production process under the guidance of experienced machinists and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Learn to operate Industrial Sewing machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Product Assembly: Assist in assembling various textile products, such as webbing slings, round slings, or ratchet lashings, using sewing machines.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Handle fabrics and materials carefully, ensuring proper alignment and feeding into the sewing machine.
  • Machine Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance tasks for sewing machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Learning and Development: Learning our standards and understand product specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, machinists, and other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Basic Sewing Skills: Some familiarity with sewing machines and equipment is preferred, but not required.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail and produce high-quality work.
  • Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating sewing machines and handling fabrics.
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate with team members in a fast pace environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
  • Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • People Person: Team member with a friendly manner is a must!

Education and Training:

  • On-the-job training will be provided to learn specific sewing techniques and machine operation.
