We are looking to appoint a new team member who is keen to learn and looking for a career in the field of manufacturing/engineering, in the from of a manual machinist.
The hours work will be 8am - 4:45pm Monday to Thursday with a 2pm finish on a Friday
You will be trained to become proficient in
- reading technical drawings
- manually machining parts from these drawings
- the use of gauges/measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- deciding the appropriate fixtures and tooling
- understanding and performing tool wear offsets
- light maintenance on manual and automated machinery
Qualifications
We are not necessarily looking for any qualifications but if you studied engineering in school/college and have a want to build a career in this field, then this will give you a head start.
You will receive pay rises as and when you reach achievable goals and once fully trained you can expect to earn a salary of £36k.
