Our client, a thriving engineering company based in Martock, specialises in various sectors including aerospace, automotive, and transportation. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Trainee MIG/TIG Welder to join their team.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an individual to join our Engineering Department as a Trainee MIG/TIG Welder. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and develop their welding skills on diverse projects, including ground support equipment production.
You will learn to:
Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Interpret technical drawings to produce high-quality welds according to specifications.
Weld ground support equipment to meet quality standards.
Assist with assembly tasks as required.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
No prior experience required; willingness to learn and develop welding skills.
Ability to work with mild steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminium materials.
Basic understanding of technical drawings.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Willingness to assist with assembly tasks when needed.
Welding certification is a plus but not required.
Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate: £6.40 to £11.44 per hour
40 hours per week with flexible start times
