Our client is a small but thriving mortgage brokerage based in Staffordshire and they are looking to take on a Trainee Mortgage Advisor. You will be a key point of contact for the brokerage's clients, speaking to a wide range of people each day over the phone, to assess their eligibility for a mortgage in order to find the right solution.
If you are excelling in the role after 12-24 months, the company will put you through your CeMAP and provide full training to transition you into a Mortgage Advisor position.
The Role of a Trainee Mortgage Advisor;
- Act as the first point of contact with potential mortgage clients, presenting and advertising the company’s solutions.
- Arrange appointments with the company’s advisors when it's time for current clients to remortgage.
- Maintain excellent rapport with existing clients and identify opportunities for potential sales.
- Talking over the phone with new mortgage prospects and booking in appointments with the advisors.
Skills required for the Trainee Mortgage Advisor;
- Service sales experience is preferred, but financial services experience (particularly in the mortgage sector) would be ideal
- Confidence, positivity, and an excellent phone manner are key traits for this role!
- Persuasion, proactivity, and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication
