Ensure practice is in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and work within limits of competence Completion of the PG Certificate Diagnostic Hysteroscopy and Therapeutic Management To undertake specialist care providing information and counselling support to women attending the Gynaecology Outpatient Department and offering support to inpatient wards As training completes to work independently in nurse led specialised clinics offering advice and management. This will be underpinned by in depth theoretical knowledge, to facilitate the assessment, planning and implementation of individualised programmes of care for patients presenting with a specialist condition and to evaluate their programmes of care. To undertake initial assessment of patients including: Physical examination Hysteroscopic assessment/investigation of symptoms Evaluation of test results Recommendation of further diagnostic tests Provide treatment such as the use of IUCD Endometrial biopsies, endometrial polypectomy, pipelle & cervical biopsy.
