This will be a 20 month training programme with the view that on successful completion you will be appointed into an Engineer role.

Our programme, through work-based and academic training, is designed to support your understanding of technical requirements to develop into a Power System Engineer providing advanced simulation capability, from steady state Power System analysis through to cutting edge large scale Electro-Magnetic Transient (EMT) modelling using Power Systems Computer Aided Design (PSCAD) software on dedicated high performance computing hardware.

The key responsibilities of the Trainee Power System Engineer are:

- Under direction, develop skills to carry out system studies, technical assessments, planning and development of the Transmission network.
