A good standard of numeracy and literacy is required and full training will be provided by the Engineering Manager.
The role is a hybrid role involving warehouse work in the form of goods in and goods out activity and wiring and programming of lighting systems. As part of the wider team you will trained in basic project administration tasks associated to all customer orders.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress within the company as the needs of the business develops over the coming years.
Trainee Production Engineer Benefits:
- 20 days holiday rising by 1 day a year to a maximum of 33 days

Trainee Production Engineer Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings to understand current and future workloads
- Be an active team member
- Managing goods in and out procedures
- Complete company documentation
- Maintain customer databases
- Ensure that documentation is to ISO9001 standard (training provided in process and procedure)
- Insure that the dispatch area is kept clean and tidy and report or replenish consumable items when necessary.
- Production tasks include wiring, assembly and programming of lights.
Essential Personal Attributes for the Trainee Production Engineer:
- Flexible attitude with the desire to learn and develop within the role
- Enthusiasm to learn the assembly/production elements of the role.
- Confident user of MS Word and a willingness and aptitude to learn how to use databases.
- Willing to learn new software packages as and when required.
- Be able to use / or willing to be trained in the use of a forklift truck
- Must hold a car or motorbike licence and have own transport as the office is in a rural location.
