The main responsibilities of the post are to deliver high intensity psychological therapy as designated by Matrics Cymru and within the scope of work with service users who have complex mental health needs. To attend regular supervision for this work and working as part of a team. Interventions will be on an individual and group basis and requires a very high level of communication and therapeutic skill and a capacity to interact sensitively with users of the service. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the planning and prioritising of own workload and the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients, within the bounds of the service operational policy.
To plan, facilitate and evaluate group and individual therapeutic interventions and contribute to the evaluation of the service as a whole. To be part of the team that provides a highly specialist consultation service, including complication of summaries and formal reports to other mental health professionals.
