Job Title – Trainee Quality Engineer

Hours of Work - 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday; 8am to 3pm Friday

Sabeti Wain Aerospace Ltd is a world leader in the design & manufacturer of bespoke aircraft interiors and upholstery systems.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will assist in the development and implementation of quality activities for engineering, design, manufacturing and sales disciplines with the emphasis on; error prevention, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, legislation, regulation, international standards adherence and the reduction of variation and waste in all elements of the product life cycle.
The suitable candidate will ideally have a quality background gained within a small to medium volume manufacturing environment.
Additional training will be given to enhance your capabilities and support you in your personal development.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality processes (through-out the organisation).
- Supporting the Lead Quality Engineer & Quality Manager to develop, implement and maintain the Business Management Systems.
- Supporting business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities in addition to providing information concerning product and process quality performance.
- Reviewing and investigating, internal and customer rejects and returns.
- Managing non-conformances/ occurrence reports and lead investigation and resolution using CAPA, 8D & 5Y problem solving techniques.
- Ensuring all quality data is captured and analysed against targets.
This position requires the following skills:
- Possess good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communications skills and in written and spoken English
- Good working knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel
- Willing to take responsibility for allocated tasks and actions, be able to work on own initiative as well as being a valuable member of our team
- Be flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks, as required
