Hours: 37 per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Business Rates Team to appoint to a career development role as a Revenues Officer who will be required to develop knowledge and skills in Business Rates and work within a small team in assessing business customer enquiries.

This job role requires you to combine excellent IT skills with a strong customer focus, to undertake this role and to answer customer queries about business rate accounts, and action various changes and reliefs.

The post holder will have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, a friendly, confident, well-mannered approach and the ability to deal with business customer enquiries via the telephone both inbound and outbound, in writing and by email.

The role requires you to maintain a good working knowledge of relevant legislative provisions in relation to Business Rates, applying this knowledge and procedures in all dealings with customers, regarding their Business Rates enquiries and foremost, maintaining accurate records on our database.
