About the Job


We are looking for a Trainee Set Dresser to become a pivotal role in Aardman’s latest flagship Shaun the Sheep project.
As Trainee Set Dresser you will be training within our lively art team to produce props and sets to a high standard. You’ll also be supporting the more senior roles in set dressing as well as adjusting based on consultation with other creative departments.
In this role you will perform simple prop making to a specific brief and previously agreed schedule. You will train to help senior roles adapt, fabricate and dress sets and learn to communicate with all key creative departments
No previous experience in set dressing is necessary, but should be able to demonstrate potential ability in the field of set dressing through appropriate work done as part of a higher education course or for own interest.
Any previous work shown should simply demonstrate a high level of general creative & craft ability.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for colour, texture, decoration and detail. You will be enthusiastic with an intuitive and creative approach to problem solving, plus have an interest in learning about processes of animation / film making
