Trainee Traffic Management Operatives

As a Traffic Management Operative, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing traffic control measures across various locations in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of Traffic Management schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Set up and maintain temporary Traffic Management systems, including traffic cones, signs, barriers, and diversions.
• Monitor traffic flow and implement necessary measures to alleviate congestion and maintain road safety.
• Safely direct traffic, pedestrians, and vehicles during roadworks, incidents, or events.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective Traffic Management operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of Traffic Management equipment and report any issues or faults.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times and promote a safe working environment.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist emergency services when required.
• Keep accurate records and documentation related to Traffic Management activities.

Requirements:

• TTMBC preferred - Supoort can be given for training
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with the public, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• A valid UK driving license with less than 6 points is required.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
