OVERVIEW
We are looking to provide a rare opportunity to work as a Trainee PGA Professional in one of the UK’s leading Golf Resorts.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR …
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, engaging individual to join our team who is keen to learn and develop their key skills, and experience from working within a 5 star Resort. The individual will play a key part in delivering the highest levels of service within an expanding and evolving hospitality brand. The role will encompass retail duties, custom fitting and offer coaching opportunities. We offer a competitive salary, excellent company benefits and educational support through the PGA training programme. Outstanding customer service skills are essential and experience within a golf sales retail environment, with a strong knowledge of guest expectation. The role would be most suited to a Registered 2nd Year PGA Trainee Professional.
WHAT YOU’LL DO …
Key Duties include but are not limited to:-
To ensure all residents, members and visitors receive the highest level of tuition available at the resort, from a trainee PGA professional.
Deliver custom fit to the highest standard
Assist the Retail Manager and Head PGA Professional in generating ideas to continual grow the overall golf academy revenue
To manage and maintain the presentation of The Golf School teaching / practice facility
To develop new teaching methods, strategies, programmes and packages in order to maximise revenue and profitability and to ensure that the Resort moves to the forefront of professional golf.
Establishes and maintains effective and positive relationships with own team as well as with other departments.
Complies with Resort’s Health, Fire and Safety and Hygiene policies as well as all other Resort policies and procedures.
Is responsible for helping to maintain a customer-focused culture which supports the values expressed on the Resort’s Mission Statement and the Resort’s business goals.
Has a full and up-to-date knowledge of Resort facilities, services and events. Actively seeks this information when necessary.
To ensure the correct procedures are adhered to, to control the safety and maintain all teaching studios, driving range equipment and facilities.
Developing new ideas and marketing strategies to maximise the potential of all teaching packages.
Assists the Retail Manager and Head PGA Professional in managing and developing junior programmes, corporate clinics, golf schools and seasonal packages.
