Job description

Location: Brighton - Moulsecoomb Interview Date: Monday 05 February 2024 This is an exciting opportunity to join the recently expanded Student Systems, Data and Business Improvement team based in Academic Registry, where you will have responsibility for the design, delivery and management of a comprehensive training programme for the users of our Registry-owned student record and curriculum management systems, SITS and Akari. Committed to a high standard of customer service, proactive and solution-oriented in your approach, you will: Work with a range of colleagues across the university to devise and deliver a comprehensive programme of online and in- person training for both new and experienced system users Identify current and future user training needs aligned to organisational objectives Recommend and implement effective training methods and technologies Produce and manage the publication of system manuals and other user communications Actively contribute to the development of corporate system roadmaps as required Be able to communicate effectively with a range of colleagues at all levels as well as with external stakeholders Be an enthusiastic and supportive team player but also able to work independently Our ideal candidate will have: Experience of developing and delivering user training on a range of systems, processes and procedures. Experience of developing technical user guidance. Experience of providing first and second line systems user support.  Ability to interpret complex information and procedures and translate into system processes. Ability to communicate confidently, accurately and clearly demonstrating sensitivity and diplomacy to a range of colleagues at all levels. Knowledge of Training and development theory and best practice, and the ability to apply this effectively. Excellent computer skills including databases, Microsoft Office software and web-based systems. Skilled in the use of digital technologies to support the delivery of training programmes.
