Overview: This role demands more than just analysing transactions and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). It's ideal for individuals seeking to push their boundaries, develop a comprehensive grasp of the Financial Crime landscape, and cultivate a strategic perspective within the position.
Responsibilities:
- Review alerts from Transaction Monitoring systems to detect potential suspicious activities.
- Conduct investigations into Financial Crime as required.
- Prepare SARs and DAML SARs.
- Analyse data to identify fraud trends and decipher underlying narratives.
- Propose adjustments to compliance programmes and Transaction Monitoring systems to mitigate emerging threats.
- Collaborate with Customer Success teams and clients' Financial Crime units to probe suspicious transactions and trends.
- Screen Business Customers and End-users for PEP, Sanctions, and Adverse Media.
- Assist in assessing the quality and accuracy of KYC information collected for business customers, including intricate corporate entities.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in financial services, particularly in financial crime or compliance roles.
- Proficiency in drafting SARs.
- Experience in conducting Financial Crime investigations within regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and thrive in challenging environments.
- Proficient in basic IT platforms.
- Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all organisational levels.
