Transformation Communications Lead


A new & exciting opportunity has arisen to join a local employer of choice who are a reputable, established & forward thinking employer.


An opportunity has arisen for a Communications lead, to join the Team, focused on supporting Transformation. This newly created role will support the defining and delivery of the communications needs aligned with the employers transformation programme and will support the communications to the wider business via their current channels.


The role is a permanent position working Monday -Friday 37.5 hours a week, this is a hybrid position.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



  • The successful candidate will be required to understand the big picture and consider the communications required to actively engage colleagues on the journey and enable the successful delivery of our transformation.

  • They will be confident with holding the programme and Transformation leaders accountable to communicating whilst providing dedicated support on the launch events of key communication milestones.

  • They will have experience of translating project content into compelling narratives that promote positive colleague engagement, advocacy and understanding.

  • They will be required to work proactively to identify opportunities to communicate based on future project plans stretching the lifetime of the programme, identifying issues that could impact clear communications.

  • They will be passionate about collaborative working and will work closely with our Internal Comms & Engagement partner, Leadership teams, Project Managers, Change & Technology teams and Marketing to ensure communications are aligned


EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience of organisations going through complex transformation and technological change programmes.

  • Communication expert with proven success in delivering communications to successfully support the change management of the organisation.

  • Experience of communicating benefits and plans to diverse stakeholder's experiencing change at different stages.

  • Significant experience of developing strategic communications plans that define scope, key messages, appropriate channels, and timelines of communication activity for multiple workstreams that span an entire organisation across many years.

  • Experience of working with external communications/marketing teams to ensure alignment of messages to customers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences.

  • Experience of creating engaging and informative content across various platforms (emails, newsletters, presentations, intranet, workshops, leadership meetings etc.) to support the communication of change initiatives, ensuring timely and consistent messaging.

  • Experience in positively managing internal relationships and advising those in senior positions in the organisation.

  • Experience of supporting managers in effectively communicating change, including preparing key stakeholders for change-related communications.

  • Experience with working in a collaborative, matrix team structures, to maintain positive relationships with the workstreams, the programme team, change management & colleagues to ensure communications are timely, relevant and address audience needs.


Desirable



  • Experience of working in the financial services sector

  • A formal qualification in change management or equivalent experience

  • Solid skills in all Microsoft applications

  • Experience of creating digital content


SKILLS, ABILITIES AND BEHAVIOURS



  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to lead and facilitate decisions between business and project teams with strong listening, influencing and diplomacy skills
