Transport Administration Supervisor
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Transport Administration Supervisor on behalf of our client based in Halesfield, Telford.
Duties Include but not limited to:
• Manage and organise office files, documents, and records.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties in the office.
• Operating the weighbridge, ensuring that all vehicles have been accurately weighed and that these weights reconcile to stock control records.
• Planning workload for next day deliveries
• Responsible for all administrative duties relating to the transport operation.
• Arranging vehicle inspections, MOT’s and tachograph calibrations and checking all relevant paperwork
• Liaising with 3rd party maintenance providers
• Ensuring that the operation remains legally compliant.
• Manage vehicle booking sheets.
• Keeping all required records up to date and accurate regarding individual vehicles and types of materials entering and leaving the site
• Entering all incoming and outgoing materials onto the company database immediately
• Accurate and full reconciliation between weighbridge records, and stock control and loading/unloading records.
• Work closely with accounts regarding invoices.
Ideal Candidate:
• Proficient in using Excel and Word
• Transport background essential
• Excellent written & communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
• Familiarity with computerized systems for data entry and record keeping.
• Proficiency in using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00am – 16:00pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
Salary: £28,730.00 per annum.
