Transport Administrator

Pallet Networks, Mitchell

Gregory Distribution is pleased to advertise the position of Transport Administratorbased at our site in Mitchell, Cornwall.

The position of Transport Administrator involves:

Monitoring deliveries and taking appropriate action to solve any queries.
Booking in customer deliveries in a timely manner.
Managing, briefing and de-briefing drivers.
Assisting the transport team in dealing with delivery issues and vehicle breakdowns as required.
Supporting the team with keeping the Pallet Networks systems up to date.
Responding to customer emails and phone queries in a timely manner.
Processing customer requests and inputting data on various systems.
General administration duties to include processing driver’s paperwork.
Printing and preparing labels for drivers’ pallets and preparing the manifests for onward delivery.
Assisting with KPI information analysis.

Essential skills required for Transport Administrator:

· Previous experience of working in a similar role is desired.

· Ability to communicate at all levels.

· Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.

· Attention to detail is critical and working to deadlines daily.

· Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

· MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Due to business requirements, overtime may be required.

Salary for Transport Administrator between £24,000pa - £26,000pa, depending on experience, based on working 40 hours per week.
Hours of work are Monday – Friday from 10:00hrs – 19:00hrs, but this can be negotiated at interview.
