Transport Administrator

As our Transport Administrator you will provide full support to your line manager delivering excellent customer service ensuring all transport related administration tasks are completed both efficiently and in line with company policy and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities  Liaising with drivers/hauliers and using tracking software to ensure each drivers route is on schedule. Liaising with all Hire Controllers and Operations teams to ensure accurate and prompt deliveries/collectionsAdvising customers of accurate ETA’s and any delay’s that occur Ensuring records are accurately maintainedProcessing purchase orders for external haulage Monitoring of emails and arranging any special requests such as wide load movements or booking in procedures.What We’re Looking For Able to speak, read and write the English language to a competent levelCompetent maths skillsWillingness to deliver a high level of customer service and display a ‘can do’ attitudeAbility to complete records, paperwork accurately is essential To be flexible, trustworthy and reliable and have excellent time keeping skills is essentialPreferable skills:Knowledge of the Transport Industry and associated compliance is desirable but not essentialCustomer service experience is desirable but not essentialGood geographical knowledge of region/UK is advantageousKnowledge of Shoring/hire industry equipment and commercial operations is desirable but not essentialWorking knowledge of construction/housing/civil engineering industry is desirable but not essentialValid full clean driving licence is desirable but not essentialWhat We Can Offer You 25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysMonday – Friday working – 40 hoursCompany PensionLife Assurance coverSave As You Earn SchemeCycle to work scheme Free on-site parkingFree Tool HireTraining & Development OpportunitiesRegular Discounts (eg.
