SalaryMajor Logistics are currently recruiting a Transport Clerk for a client based in Halifax.
Pay Rate:
- £12.00 per hour
Duties:
- Completing all daily tasks for compliance purposes
- Inputting of daily run sheets onto spreadsheets and web-based programmes
- Filing of Transport related documentation
- Complete daily, weekly reports/communications as and when required
- Briefing drivers at the end of every shift, communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news and procedures
- Update AVA with safety conversations/hazards/near miss/accident information
- Ensuring drivers comply with Health and Safety regulations
- Ensuring the department complies with the Road Traffic Act
- Escalate all incidents / accidents accordingly
- Ensure effective and timely reporting of all vehicle defects including accidents/incidents and liaison with External 3rd party breakdown / recovery agents.
- Monitor all vehicle / trip progress and re plan deliveries and collections as required. Provide effective and timely communication with planning team.
Hours:
- Part time role
- Standard hours of 11:00 - 17:00
- Monday to Friday
Requirements:
- Previous Transport experience would be desirable
- Previous experience working within an office environment is essential
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure
