Ignition Driver Recruitment is looking for a Transport Clerk in Doncaster to work for our client, who is a distribution and logistics provider working in this case, on behalf of one of the UK's biggest household & DIY retailers. 

It would be preferential if you had previous experience in this type of role, and this position would suit someone who is: 
  1. Highly organized 
  2. Has impeccable timekeeping
  3. Has the ability to think on their feet & problem-solve 
  4. Can work either alone, or in a team environment

What are the shift times and working hours for a Transport Clerk?
  • Tuesday - Saturday
    • 09:00 - 17:00

What is involved in working as a Transport Clerk?
  • Preparation of documentation
  • Briefing and debriefing drivers & drivers mates
  • Check all delivery documents to ensure correct delivery status
  • Assist in the daily production and preparation of reports
  • Carry out general administration duties including filing, photocopying tacograph reconciliation and data input
  • Assistance in fleet administration, e.g. checking when vehicles are available for MOT’s, services, tax etc
  • Ensuring details on LGV licence renewals are maintained and medicals arranged when required
  • Booking in and out of drivers and the allocation of loads and vehicles for drivers
  • Ensure all stock is controlled and managed, with recorded movements in and out of the warehouse handling area
  • To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for effective operation of the Transport Department
