Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a thorough and proactive Transport Compliance Administrator to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will ensure that our transport operations comply with all relevant regulations and standards. This role demands exceptional administrative skills and attention to detail. An understanding of Transport Compliance requirements is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance:
    • Help to ensure all transport activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct audits and inspections of transport operations and documentation.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Manage and update Transport Compliance documentation, including licenses, permits, and vehicle documents.
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and driver qualifications.
    • Prepare compliance reports and present findings to the Transport Manager.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the transport team.
    • Assist in the preparation of compliance-related presentations and materials.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors if, and when necessary.
    • Communicate compliance requirements and updates to drivers and transport staff.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless compliance processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify areas for improvement in compliance processes and procedures.
    • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a Transport Compliance or administrative role.
    • Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance standards is desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
