Due to retirement we are seeking an experience Transport Clerk starting immediately on a long term temporary leading to permanent basis in Harlescott, Shrewsbury.
Duties will involve working in a busy , fast paced business to business delivery depot providing transport support to general manager as well as drivers and customers via telephone , face to face and email .
Responsibilities will include:
- Accurate data entry into in house database
- Investigating lost and undelivered parcels
- Tracking and identifying incorrect deliveries ensuring stock in located, sourced and re delivered
- Mapping hard to find routes for drivers
- Tracking of up to 20 vehicles
- Liaising with head office to ensure customers expectations are met
- Answering customers queries, questions and complaints
- Managing returns using Warehouse Management System
- Downloading of hand held scanners
- Booking parcels in/ out of depot within warehouse environment
- Checking returns ensuring WMS , paperwork and tracking information is updated
- Collaborate with drivers each evening at the end of the shift to process returns
- Information gather reasons for returns / rejected stock
Hours/ Days of Work:
Monday to Friday only - 12 mid day until 9pm
