Transport Depot Clerk

Due to retirement we are seeking an experience Transport Clerk starting immediately on a long term temporary leading to permanent basis in Harlescott, Shrewsbury.

Duties will involve working in a busy , fast paced business to business delivery depot providing transport support to general manager as well as drivers and customers via telephone , face to face and email .

Responsibilities will include:

• Accurate data entry into in house database
• Investigating lost and undelivered parcels
• Tracking and identifying incorrect deliveries ensuring stock in located, sourced and re delivered
• Mapping hard to find routes for drivers
• Tracking of up to 20 vehicles
• Liaising with head office to ensure customers expectations are met
• Answering customers queries, questions and complaints
• Managing returns using Warehouse Management System
• Downloading of hand held scanners
• Booking parcels in/ out of depot within warehouse environment
• Checking returns ensuring WMS , paperwork and tracking information is updated
• Collaborate with drivers each evening at the end of the shift to process returns
• Information gather reasons for returns / rejected stock

Hours/ Days of Work:

Monday to Friday only - 12 mid day until 9pm
