DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Managing a small team by assigning their day to day duties, conducting 1:1's, performance reviews and return to work
- Ensuring that all routes are dispatched from the site on time
- Assisting drivers with any route changes, compliance issues, delivery queries
- Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis
- Completion of employee reviews, appraisals and investigations
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

- Previous and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
- Excellent communication - both written and verbal
- Strong IT skills - ideally using Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
