Job description

We are looking for a motivated and competent administrator to join our small Transport Hub Team. You will need to be child focused and able to manage a high volume of sensitive information.

The role involves working closely with our Transport Planners to ensure all transport provided meets the required needs but is also best value for money.

The team works closely alongside the Children in Care Health Team which are responsible for the health needs of all NCT looked after children. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate, once trained in all areas of the Transport Hub work will undertake training in the areas of work the Children in Care Health Team are responsible for to support and cover when there is staff sickness or absence.

Please note this is a Full time Position working from Monday to Friday 9-5pm = 37 hours

Currently the team works from the office (One Angel Square) one day a week (currently Tuesdays) and then the remaining days are worked from home.  Please note that this may be subject to change according to business needs.

What will you be doing?As part of your role, you will be expected to build relationships with providers and social care colleagues. Knowledge of the transport sector in relation to Children’s Services would be an advantage, although not essential.

You will have regular supervision and training and Yearly Appraisals.
About youCandidates should be experienced with IT including Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook. Carefirst and ADAMs systems are used for which full training will be provided.

You will need a good eye for detail when quality assuring referrals and the ability to work to policy,

This is a varied and rewarding role that requires good verbal and written communication skills in a fast paced and energetic environment, that requires you to communicate effectively.

The role will be based around the administration functions within the team that are often of high volume.  You will need to have skills to manage a busy workload.
