Exciting Opportunity: Group Transport Manager

Salary: £40,000
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire

Shift: Days. Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)

Join us as the Group Transport Manager and take the lead in managing all aspects of the Transport function across our recycling sites. This pivotal role, with support from the Transport Coordinator, offers a competitive package, including 25 days annual leave, pension, on-site parking, and continuous training and support.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to a team of drivers, ensuring the delivery of efficient internal and external customer service.
• Operations Planning: Plan, organize, and manage the dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles to meet business and customer requirements.
• Compliance Management: Demonstrate a thorough understanding and adherence to transport policies, procedures, and legislations.
• Fleet Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and efficient utilization of the vehicle fleet.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep necessary documentation and records, delivering weekly KPIs, profit and loss reports.
• Query Resolution: Manage and resolve queries efficiently and courteously, maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Legal Compliance: Adhere to legal requirements in fleet management.
