Monday to Friday 7:30-4:30 (hours may differ)

Salary: GBP37,500-GBP40,000 DOE

Location: St.ives, Cambridgeshire

We are looking for a skilled Transport Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of transportation operations for our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation management, with a proven track record of effectively coordinating and optimizing transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate and oversee the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles and drivers.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Manage and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and service providers.
• Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
• Lead and motivate a team of drivers and transportation staff to achieve operational objectives.
• Handle any transportation-related issues or emergencies that may arise.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in transportation management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in transportation management software and systems.
