We are currently recruiting for a Transport Office Administrator to work for a well established, global manufacturer in Port Talbot. This is a great opportunity to be part of exciting transport team.
As Transport Office Administrator you will:
- Support with booking transport, data analysis and generating reports of shipping costs, service levels and allocations of work.
- Organise the booking of transport vehicles in order to deliver the merchandise to all areas of interest, in accordance with the assigned aims in terms of cost-effectiveness and service levels.
- Check the logistic suppliers' invoices and manage credit and debit notes.
- Support the Transport Office Supervisor in the systematic assessment of the quality in the transporters' service.
- Support the Transport Office Supervisor in negotiations with logistic suppliers
- Support the corporate departments requiring assistance on topics of distribution logistics.
Skills you'll need for the role:
- Previous experience of working in a transport department is desirable but not essential
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail and organisation
- Great communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
