Job Description:

We are looking for a Transport Officer to assist in the effective, efficient, and legally compliant delivery of passenger transport services. working on the Personal Transport Budgets (data entry, email and phone contact with school/parents), but may also be asked to complete some low level work to help cover other areas in PTS as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the effective and efficient planning and procurement of passenger transport services both manually and using available ICT systems.
• Deliver a program of efficiency reviews of other aspects of the service, including the purchase of season tickets and the provision of transport for ‘fare paying’ passengers.
• Assist with liaison and notification of current standards with/to in-house fleet management and to external contractors.
• Ensure vehicles are properly licensed and insured appropriately by the contractor, maintaining administrative procedures as appropriate.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records, including control and maintenance of the Transport Databases and all Transport related manual systems and the provision of timely and accurate Management Information.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
• Proven excel experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hybrid Working once trained - Based at county hall in Glenfield when in office.
