Transport Planner

Staffline is recruiting for a Transport Planner at our fast-paced Peterborough Office.
We are looking for a flexible colleague, capable of covering holidays and sickness throughout the year.
The rate of pay is GBP12 per hour.
The typical working hours for this role are from 4am to 1pm or from 12pm to 9pm. You will be scheduled to work 5 out of 7 days, with opportunities for overtime, including weekends.
Your Time at Work
As a Transport Planner, your duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Executing and scheduling the daily driver plan, which involves contacting drivers to communicate start times and coordinating key collection and paperwork.
- Managing temporary shortages and ensuring timely backfill of gaps.
- Administering Direct Debit mandates.
- Resolving issues promptly when contacted by drivers regarding road-related concerns, breakdowns, delays, etc.
- Reporting and escalating vehicle defects.
- Resolving challenges related to the fleet.
- Build and maintain relationships with our onsite planning teams to establish a clear understanding of their client's requirements
- Updating records via Word/excel and completing filing.
- Other Ad-hoc Duties
While your primary responsibility will be transport planning, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of our business across Staffline. This includes involvement in Operations, Reception, and Onsite support, providing you with a diverse and engaging work experience.

Our ideal Transport Planner is hard-working, reliable, and has a keen eye for detail with good knowledge of driving hours regulation.
The ability to cover holidays and sickness throughout the year is a key requirement.
Good written and spoken English and a competent level of math are also required for this role.
Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
