Transport Planner

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a rapidly growing supplier based in Stowmarket, looking to bring a Transport Planer into their fantastic team. Working within a vibrant transport desk, where no two days are the same, this is a great opportunity to join a team that plays a really important role within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the transport manager on all daily operational duties
· Focus on the daily routing and scheduling of the driving team
· Liaise closely with the team of drivers to ensure efficiencies are maximised
· Guide and assist others to organise route plans and instigate reviews of plans’ effectiveness
· Dealing with customers and resolving driver’s issues over the phone

Required skills & experience:
· Experienced in transport planning
· Motivated to solve challenges
· Genuine passion for efficient transport
· Excellent communicator
· Confident telephone manner
· Ability to build rapport
