Transport Service Delivery Co-ordinator
Birmingham Business Park - Solihull
Mon - Fri - On-site role
£25,000 per annum
Purpose of Job:
To effectively manage haulier performance to achieve agreed service level performance and to ensure that the utilisation of sub contractor resource is done in the most cost effective way possible. To evaluate existing practices and continually improve performance.
Responsibilities:
The Central Transport Service Delivery Co-ordinator a key member of the Operations Team and has the responsibility to ensure that movement requests are confirmed with a sub contractator managing and reporting on performance in accordance with our agreed service level ensuring this is done at the lowest cost to the business.
Core Duties:
Manage movement requests ensuring that they are planned in line with agreed SLA’s and cost, proactively following up by progress chasing hauliers on outstanding moves.
Monthly reporting KPI measure to enable maximum visibility of the volume and performance by both customer and Sub contractor to identify poor performance and develop actions quickly to resolve.
Measure haulier performance and participate in monthly review meetings ensuring that performance is wihtin agreed service levels and to address and manage hauliers where performance is impacting SLA’s.
Liaise with customers and suppliers both by email and phone to ensure that all quereies are responded to within a timely manner.
To ensure that all internal processes are followed and completed to a high standard to avoid any possible losses to the business.
Support Operational colleagues to ensure optimal planning of resources, particularly in the size and capability of the sub contractor base especially around peak periods and for specific requirements e.g. Linehaul, Bulk, Non runners, Plated
Provide day to day management of workloads into the department to ensure maximum effectiveness, efficiency and co-ordination of all elements of Service Delivery for BCAL.
To ensure that the accuracy, quality of work and communication to customers both internal/external is of a consistently high standard.
