SalaryOur vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.
Our Distribution Centre in Tamworth is a major picking depot, employing more than 150 colleagues and operating a fleet of more than 80 vehicles. The depot serves major convenience retailers in the region.
What you'll be doing
We have an exciting opportunity for a Van Loader to join our Team Based at our Tamworth Depot. The shift available is Sunday to Thursday, 9am Starts, £10.80 per hour.
As a member of the team you will be responsible for the Van Loading Area.
Job Purpose
* You will be responsible for the van loading area
* Ensure that all activities are conducted in line with Safe System of Work
* Listening to daily briefs with management and staff
* Checking off outbound HGVs
* Keeping to an outbound schedule
* Communicating with transport
* Inbound/Outbound live tracking
* Occasional freezer work
* Keeping the loading area tidy
* Managing pallets outbound/inbound
Requirements
* Have experience of working in a busy warehouse/transport operation.
* Must be able to work Sundays
* Good attention to detail and demonstrable self-discipline to manage your work tasks with minimum supervision, whilst being held duty accountable.
