We are delighted to welcome applications for a Trauma Approach Coordinator to support a trauma informed and responsive workforce, systems and organisations across Perth and Kinross. We are committed here in PKHSCP to enhance our Trauma approach to influence our culture and enable and support our communities and workforce to live life well. We all have a role in understanding and responding effectively to people across the lifespan affected by psychological trauma. Preventing and mitigating the impact of trauma and offering support for recovery are fundamental to good practice across the workforce. The Scottish Government, COSLA and partners have a shared ambition for a trauma informed workforce and services across Scotland have invested in the development of the National Trauma Transformation Programme led by NHS Education for Scotland (NES). The key national resources to support a local strategy and action plan have been developed through the National Trauma Transformation Programme: - NHS Education Scotland trauma informed learning resources - The National Trauma Informed Toolkit; - The Improvement Service's 'A Roadmap for Creating Trauma-Informed and Responsive Change: Guidance for Organisations, Systems and Workforces in Scotland (2023)', These will be core to informing the ongoing development of a local strategy and action plan, in addition to making effective links with a range of other national strategies for cross cutting themes. The Trauma Approach Coordinator will work with a range of key stakeholders to co produce, develop and implement a local strategy and action plan that embeds the principles of Trauma Informed Practice across all staff, services and departments within Perth and Kinross Council and the Health and Social Care Partnership, Local authority, NHS, 3rd and Independent Sector partners and our communities. The role will promote a Trauma approach across P&K, and this will be supported by a trauma resource bank. This will involve collaborative exploration to identify learning needs and opportunities, coordinate and deliver learning and development sessions as well as the development of a local trauma network. This will be underpinned by a collection of data and analysis to support evidence based working and evaluation. The Trauma Approach Coordinator will continue to support teams with the implementation of level 1 and level 2 trauma informed learning, facilitate team development sessions through a trauma informed lens, coordinate the multi-agency implementation group and work with the Trauma Champion and senior leadership team.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring with the proven ability to work effectively with a level of autonomy.
