Travel and Tourism lecturer

An established further education provider is looking for an experienced Travel and Tourism lecturer to join on a permanent.As a Travel and Tourism Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-standard education to our students at BTEC Levels 2 and 3. This position can be offered either on a 0.8 ( 4 day a week) or full time permanent basis, whatever your preference would be.Key Responsibilities:* Plan and deliver engaging lessons and workshops in Travel and Tourism subjects at BTEC Levels 2 and 3.* Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student understanding and success.* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.* Provide academic guidance, support, and feedback to students to help them reach their full potential.* Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of assessment methods.* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and educational resources.* Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate relevant developments into the curriculum.* Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the Travel and Tourism department.Qualifications:* A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).* Strong knowledge and experience in Travel and Tourism.* Experience delivering BTEC Level 2 and 3 courses is highly desirable.* A passion for education and a commitment to student success.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* A proactive and innovative approach to teaching and learning.* Dedication to continuous professional development.Benefits:* Competitive salary and benefits package.* Access to ongoing professional development opportunities.* Supportive and collaborative work environment.* Opportunities for career advancement within our institution.They will be looking to interview in the coming weeks so if this could be of interest, please do not hesitate to apply as soon as possible
