Signature recruitment have partnered exclusively with a prestigious engineering company within the sustainable transport and planning sector, in the hunt for a Travel Plan Coordinator. They are looking for an enthusiastic Travel Plan Co-ordinator to work alongside housing development companies and local Planning Authorities to devise the Travel Plans and then monitor them, make changes as necessary, survey and advise residents and employees on transport options including personal Travel Planning, timetables, initiatives and organise travel events etc.

This is a part-time (within 25-30 hours) opportunity, so there is lots of flexibility – but the successful candidate can do these hours across either 5 short days or 3 long days to work around other commitments. The role is hybrid, with Monday & Thursday being in office days.

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary of up to £25,000 (full time equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Devise and implement initiatives for reducing dependence on car travel, such as walking, jogging, cycling, public transport and car sharing.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Travel Plan documents and updating existing Plans.
  • Organising Travel Planning events including co-ordinating with clients and local community groups, these are primarily over the summer months.
  • Delivering travel information and associated material to new residents.
  • Surveying residents and employees to understand their Travel Plan requirements, and assess success of initiatives.
  • Researching bus and train service timetables.
  • Assisting with engaging with organisations about routes for cycling, walking and bus services.
  • Social media messaging for local groups.

Requirements

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Available and willing to work weekends over the summer from time to time.
  • Ability to travel between client sites.
  • An interest in sustainable travel

This is a part time role, hours dependant on what the successful candidate is looking for. The office is in Clifton, with on site parking, and you’d be required in the office at least 2 days a week. For more information, please get in touch with Amelia at Signature today!
