Sales Manager – Travel Industry

Our client is seeking a dynamic, highly driven and focused person who loves sales and can demonstrate and motivate their team to achieve daily KPI’s. Selling a dream holiday is the first part of the customer experience. We are looking for a natural born communicator who can inspire and share great customer skills with their team.
About the Travel Sales Manager Role:
- Basic salary of £47K + 5% profit share bonus annually. £50k salary upon completion of probationary period + great benefits including free or subsidised travel
- Other benefits include staff discounts / offers on retail & travel, medical healthcare cash plan, additional annual leave linked to length of service.
- Shift patterns on a rota basis between 8.45am-8pm, including weekends
- Permanent role
- Based in Royal Wootton Bassett (car parking on-site)
Typical activities
- To oversee, manage, lead and motivate the sales team ensuring daily performance targets are achieved.
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors
- Collecting customer feedback and market research
- Feedback to the Product department on calls received and obstacles which you have had to overcome.
- Reporting on staff attendance, absence and address any concerns as they arise
Skill Set Required:
Essential
- Experience within Travel Industry
- Compiling and analyzing sales figures – daily, weekly and monthly
- Collecting customer feedback and market research
- Constantly evaluate success of Sales team through call listening and feedback on progress
- Monitoring individual’s & team’s performance and motivating them to reach targets.
- Implement change when new strategies delivered by the business.
- Always maintain a high motivational and positive Atmosphere within the sales office.
- Ensure highest level of customer service provided to deliver exceptional customer journey.
- Be able to demonstrate open, sell and close in line with company expectations and sales structure training and ensure staff can do the same.
- Proven track record in delivering results with the ability to deliver robust solutions.
- Resilient, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with strong people skills.
- Ability to motivate, inspire and develop others, leading by example.
- A confident, strong, friendly personality
- The ability to be flexible, decisive and quick thinking.

- Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.

- Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email.
- Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations
