About the role:
The post will carry out the administration of finds reported under the Treasure Act 1996. The successful candidate will slot into the existing team of a Senior Treasure Registrar, Treasure Registration Manager, Treasure Registration Coordinator, one other full-time registrar, and one part-time registrar to work on the processing of treasure finds. This post will be expected to participate in various aspects of treasure administration focused on the initial steps in the treasure process.
About you:
- Good general education to GCSE or equivalent
- General computer literacy, specifically experience of databases and Microsoft office software
- Knowledge of the types of artefacts that are Treasure; interest in British archaeology
- Administrative experience
- Accurate record-keeping, including that of finances; ability to work independently and as part of a team
