Job description

Role Responsibility

We are recruiting for a Treasury Administration and Quality Assurance Officer (KR8) to join Kent County Council’s Treasury & Investments Team, Finance division.  The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours a week).  The primary location for this role is Invicta House, Maidstone, Kent; the successful candidate will undertake hybrid working (both home and office working, according to business needs). We welcome applications from both internal and external applicants.

The post holder will work within an experienced and successful treasury and investments team. Undertaking an important role within the team, you will be principally responsible for providing the back office support to the treasury management function, as well as administrative support for the council’s cash and banking operations. You will also maintain accounting records for the treasury and investment activity as well as for Kent Pension Fund. Previous experience of working in a finance environment is expected, as is a good understanding of financial systems and control process.  Given the financial nature of the role, the post holder will be expected to have good MS Excel spreadsheet skills and have excellent attention to detail.
