Role purpose:
GB Bank have a fantastic opportunity for a Treasury & Funding Analyst to join our Team.
In this exciting new role, you will provide support to the Treasury & Funding team focussing on data processing and reporting for both the treasury and savings product lines. You will play a pivotal role in helping the Treasury build and develop our data modelling, reporting and analysis to ensure that we understand performance trends and that complex data is turned into digestible business insights.
As Treasury & Funding Analyst, your daily tasks will include running the Power Business Intelligence data model, reconciliation of platform data, and any other deposits data analytics including market insights.
This role is an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain invaluable experience within a wide variety of banking areas, and to join an award-winning and rapidly growing Bank that sits at the heart of the local community.
As Treasury & Funding Analyst you will find yourself:
- Collating, building, interpreting data sets for all areas of the Banks’ treasury including all funding types
- Supporting the Bank in the production of the regulatory returns
- Utilising your skill set to support the production of clear and accurate MI
- Gaining experience within a wide range of banking areas
Skills and experience - you are/will have most of the following:
- Experience of developing, capturing, interpreting, reconciling, and maintaining data models
- Able to understand, manage and build Power Business Intelligence data models
- Experience of reporting on business performance to external parties
- Experience of treasury and / or savings within a banking environment
- Curious, creative and keen to have an impact
- Driven by quality and accuracy with a strong desire to exceed expectations
- Comfortable operating in an environment where ready-made processes don’t always exist – you can navigate ambiguity and clearly identify what could be better.
- Strong data literacy and analytical skills which will mean you can extract meaningful data, convey it with clarity and make sure action is identified and taken.
- Problem solving skills and an ability to interpret data to identify emerging risks / key trends

What else do you need to know?
Location: This is a hybrid role and we’re proud to say that our Head Office is based in Middlesbrough
Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 depending on experience
Hours: 35hrs per week
