A little bit about what we are looking for...
We are looking for a new Treasury Operations Manager. Within this role, you will maintain an effective operating environment which delivers accurate and reliable services in respect of cash flow management, loan debt servicing and investment of surplus funds. You will also manage and seek enhancements to key treasury systems.
We are happy to offer hybrid working with this role; You will be required to be in the office for around 2/3 days per week with the rest being from home, however please bear in mind we may need you to be in the office more within your probation and training. It's important to us that you feel fully ready and confident in the role before working from home. Of course if you'd prefer to be in the office more, then that is completely fine with us too!
Your responsibilities...
- Line manage the Treasury Operations Analyst, providing support, direction and a positive working environment that fosters effective team working
- Manage PA’s short-term liquidity position, ensuring the business is compliant with its liquidity ‘golden rules’
- Manage loan drawdowns / rollovers / repayments and investment of surplus funds to deliver an efficient funding cost within policy parameters
- Oversee production and delivery of weekly cash forecasts to senior management
- Prepare rolling 36-month cash forecasts and associated scenario analysis to reporting deadlines, with additional sensitivity analysis as may be required
- Prepare cash forecasts for NROSH returns, together with variance analysis
- Oversee provision of robust and timely service levels in respect of operations activity, including treasury payments, responses to loan security queries from internal / external parties, raising of purchase orders etc
- Ensure relevant counterparty documentation (e.g. signing mandates) is maintained and updated via the relevant approval processes
- Work to educate team members and Finance colleagues on the value of efficient cash management practices and on fraud awareness
- Work with the Development & Sales team to refine forecasting activity
- Manage PA’s bank account arrangements, seeking efficiencies where available
- Ongoing review, updating and publication of PA’s credit card policy, together with maintenance of the card user list and authority thresholds
- Develop use and functionality of PA’s treasury management system, establishing relevant workflows and facilitating linkages to other systems where appropriate
- Act as lead system administrator on core electronic banking systems
- Ensure the treasury systems environment is robust and fit for purpose

Our ideal candidate...
- Hold a recognised treasury qualification (ACT)
- Experience working in a high performing treasury function
- Experience of utilising electronic banking systems
- Experience of project management and liaison with multiple stakeholders
- Experience of working with directors and Board members
- Experience of building positive relationships with providers of loan finance
- Experience of MS Excel: intermediate to advanced
- Ability to understand technical treasury concepts associated with file delivery and protocols, and work with technical staff accordingly
- Knowledge of loan finance documentation and associated security arrangements
