Tree Inspector

About the role:

Join our team as a Tree Inspector and contribute to the safety and well-being of our community's green spaces. You'll conduct cyclical safety inspections, diagnose pests and diseases, and assess structural defects in trees across our estate. Your role will involve working closely with tree officers, engaging with local groups, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

You will carry out cyclical safety inspections of trees within the Councils estate. To carry out the cyclical inventory and to be diagnostic regarding pests, diseases, and structural defects for all trees across the estate.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct cyclical inspections of trees for safety and stability.

Record tree attributes and recommend maintenance works.

Support the development of tree management policies and strategies. –

Communicate with local residents and interest groups regarding tree maintenance. –

Monitor tree works quality and ensure compliance with standards.

Contribute to afforestation targets and improvement projects.

Requirements:

Experience in arboriculture or related field preferred.

Knowledge of tree management practices and safety protocols.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.

Familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., Health & Safety, GDPR).
