Salary: £30,000 + dependent on experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tree Nursery Manager to oversee the operations and processes of the Tree Nursery in Ipswich. This role is primarily focused on managing the day-to-day activities related to the growth and maintenance of the tree inventory. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, quality, and timely delivery of saplings to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Tree Cultivation and Maintenance:
- Implement and manage effective cultivation practices to ensure the health and quality of their Sapling inventory.
- Monitor and control pests, diseases, and environmental conditions affecting Sapling growth.
- Oversee irrigation, fertilization, and pruning activities to promote optimal tree development.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of tree inventory, including species, quantities, and growth stages.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to facilitate efficient monitoring and restocking.
Quality Assurance:
- Enforce quality control measures to ensure that all trees meet our high standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues affecting tree quality.
Logistics and Timely Delivery:
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of Saplings to clients.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes for efficient delivery.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of nursery equipment to ensure smooth operations.
Environmental Stewardship:
- Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices within the nursery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in tree cultivation and nursery management.
- Strong knowledge of horticultural practices and arboriculture.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices within the horticultural industry.
