Tree surgeons needed to start this job in Middlesex as soon as possible. Working for the local council you will be required to maintain the appearance of the grounds, using chainsaws and tree felling equipment. For this job you will need to have your chainsaw and climbing licenses (CS30 & CS38).
A full UK driver's license is essential for this job as you will be travelling between different areas.
You will require a good head for heights with responsibility for thinning and tree surgery using a range of equipment, carrying out groundworks using a chainsaw and a chipper across the county's park areas. Your duties will also include tree climbing and maintenance, tree preservation and conservation of green areas in the town.
Experience within the industry is crucial to this job. You must be an experienced climber and be keen to work in a physically demanding role.
As an Arborist you will have experience of using and be qualified in using a power saw, using a harness, stump grinder, wood chipper and chain saw.
You will be working within a small team on local projects. Although temporary to begin with, this will lead to a full time, permanent job direct with the council where you will receive additional benefits including the option to boost your wages through overtime.
Must hold a certificate in Signing Lighting and Guarding chainsaw tickets (CS30,31,38,39) A full clean driving licence Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and WAH regulations and risk assessments.
