An opportunity has arisen in the North West Unit for a TRISS Operative at our Inverness depot.
Preferably you should have experience working on roads and in traffic management, with the necessary skills to carry out various minor road maintenance operations, training can be provided if necessary.
The TRISS is there to provide a quick initial response to all types of incidents on the network to ease congestion and provide updates to the control room where necessary.
Responsibilities and Activities:
- Carry out patrols and inspections on predefined routes
- Assist Police and members of the public
- Debris removal and litter picking
- Minor repairs
- Traffic monitoring
- Respond to incidents as required
- Offer assistance/ report break-downs
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Confident and considerate attitude.
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience & qualifications in road maintenance, traffic management and Health & safety.
This role requires the postholder to work a 4on/4off shift pattern.
